Have you ever looked ahead to an empty weekend calendar, or read about a social, environmental, or political crisis and thought:
“What am I going to do?”
Us too.
Party For Change was founded by Cate Daniels, a yoga instructor, storyteller, and community-builder, who was tired of feeling like her energy was being pulled in too many directions to make a meaningful difference anywhere. She wanted to use her professional skills, support causes she cared about, and still show up fully for her friends and community. But like so many people, she felt limited by time, capacity, and the reality of being just one person trying to care about a lot of things at once.
Cate studied Sustainability and International Relations and spent time working on nonprofit and social impact campaigns. Many of those efforts relied on guilt and urgency to motivate action, and she saw how often that led to burnout, overwhelm, and disconnection instead of sustained engagement. To stay grounded and motivated, she turned to the spaces that helped her stay hopeful: movement, music, social gatherings, and community experiences that made people feel alive and connected.
And then a question started to form:
What if the things that bring us joy could also create impact?
What if the things that make us want to fight for a better world are actually part of that fight?
She started talking to her community about a different kind of answer to the question, “What are we going to do?”
We’re going to show up for each other. Together.
We’re going to make it realistic and accessible to turn the idea of joy as resistance into real-world experiences.
We’re going to create a platform where anyone who cares about an issue can offer the skills they already have, and turn that into meaningful community impact.
As those conversations grew, people started raising their hands.
“I want to DJ for a fundraiser.”
“I can teach a tarot workshop.”
“I host trivia nights! I want to be involved.”
It became clear very quickly:
People care. A lot.
They just need accessible ways to act on that care.
Party For Change exists to help turn compassion into action — through community, creativity, and joy.
So now, when we ask ourselves,
“What are we going to do?”
We have an answer.
We’re going to show up.
We’re going to build community.
We’re going to make saving the world a party. -
Party For Change creates joyful experiences that reconnect people to their power to shape the world around them. Through music, movement, conversation, wellness, and culture, we bring together local communities, impactful nonprofits, artists, and businesses to make giving, gathering, and taking action feel human again.
We believe younger generations want to show up differently: not through guilt or obligation, but through connection, creativity, and collective momentum. Our mission is to turn joy into impact by making community engagement accessible, inspiring, and woven into everyday life.
Party For Change mobilizes communities through experiences that create tangible support for nonprofits while rebuilding social connection and civic participation at the local level.
By partnering with mission-driven organizations, artists, wellness leaders, venues, and small businesses, we:
Raise funds and awareness for urgent social and environmental causes
Create accessible entry points into activism and community engagement
Support local creative and small-business ecosystems
Help younger generations reconnect with collective action in ways that feel energizing rather than exhausting
Build spaces where joy, culture, and impact strengthen one another instead of competing
-
We envision a future where social impact is not separate from culture, nightlife, wellness, creativity, or community, but embedded within it.
A future where attending an event can support mutual aid. Where local businesses thrive alongside grassroots organizations. Where people see themselves not as passive consumers of the world’s problems, but as active participants in building something better.
Party For Change exists to help redefine what modern civic engagement looks like for a new generation: collaborative, hopeful, emotionally connected, and powered by shared experience.

Cate Daniels: CEO and Founder
A note from Cate: Hi I’m Cate, CEO and Founder of Party For Change! I believe that we can create a more just, joyful world by connecting to each other and centering our values in everything we do.
I’ve spent years working in marketing, wellness, community engagement, and public-interest organizations. My goal has always been to build bridges: between people, from causes to impact, and from this moment to a better future.
In my work, I’ve met so many people who care about changing the world, but also feel disconnected from their power to do so. I’ve also been inspired by incredible activists, leaders, and mentors who break through this challenge by helping people tell a new story: one where positive change is possible, and working towards it unites us.
We founded Party For Change to reimagine civic engagement not as another obligation, but as something people genuinely look forward to. We believe the future of social change will be built through protest, policy change, and hard work, and that that work will be sustained by friendship, curiosity, creativity, and joy."
Shiara Rigau: Director of Operations and Impact
A note from Shiara: “Hi I’m Shiara, Director of Operations & Impact at Party For Change! I believe that creating positive change should feel accessible, joyful, and connected to the communities around us.
At Party For Change, I get to combine my love of philanthropy, community building, and making it easier for people to support organizations creating meaningful change. My goal is to make giving back feel like something people naturally want to be part of, not because they have to, but because they’re building meaningful connections while supporting causes they care about. I believe that when we make doing good more approachable, we create stronger communities and a greater impact together.”
Jackson Garske: Director of Community and Partnerships
A note from Jackson: “Hi I’m Jackson, Director of Partnerships and Community at Party For Change! My goal is to make sure you feel a part of the P4C community the second you walk in the door!
Using my event background, as well as my aptitude for a good time, i want to curate our time together to make sure we are connected (1) to each other (2) to local talent and businesses, and (3) causes we care about. By doing so, each event should turn both our joy and our activism into new connections and uplifting different parts of our community. I hope that P4C can become the place you feel empowered to change the world with a room full of people you’ve come to know and love!”
