Making Change with music and movement.
We celebrated AAPI Heritage Month with movement, music, and community. This event consisted of a 45-minute sculpt class led by Garrett Shin, who spun K-pop hits LIVE while teaching, followed by drinks, dancing, & more music.
We raised money for The Asian American Legal Defense and Education Fund (AALDEF), a nonprofit that has been at the forefront of the fight for justice and civil rights for Asian Americans and all communities.
Founded in 1974 and based in New York City, AALDEF is a national organization that partners with Asian American communities across the country to drive change, using litigation, advocacy, education, and organizing.
Since its founding, AALDEF has been on the frontlines of defending and advancing the rights of Asian American communities—from advocating for reparations for Japanese Americans, to challenging post-9/11 attacks on Muslim communities, to confronting anti-Asian violence during the COVID-19 pandemic.
