PRIDE PARTY FOR CHANGE
Pride started as a protest. This pride party was designed to honor the roots of the movement.
We gathered at Mood Ring to celebrate the rights, self-affirmation, dignity, equality, and increased visibility of LGBTQ+ communities, while honoring that there is still so much to fight for.
On 6/25, Haus of Lil’ Girlz, a trans/non-binary DJ collective, spun our favorite songs from every era at Mood Ring from 10 pm - 3 am while we danced, connected, and raised money for the Ali Forney Center.
AFC is the nation’s largest agency protecting LGBTQ young people from the harms of homelessness. Now in its 23rd year of service, AFC provides wrap-around services to 2,200 young people a year and leads the fight to ensure those young people rejected from their families for being LGBTQ have the support to live independent and fulfilling lives.
